Born in 1990 in Okazaki, Japan; lives and works in Andernos, France.
A self-taught and multidisciplinary French artist, LOLA lived in Tokyo until the age of eighteen, immersed in the Japanese language and culture. From early childhood, calligraphy, music, dance, singing, and photography shaped her daily life. At seventeen, she performed the lead role in a Japanese musical directed by the renowned accordionist Coba.
After more than a decade on stage — between Tokyo, Montréal, and Paris — Lola felt a vital need to return to nature. She left the urban world behind and settled on the shores of the Arcachon Bay, close to the ocean and the forest. There, she began exploring wild French landscapes, creating short documentaries that portray people living in harmony with animals. Her nights spent in the forest rekindled a powerful desire to paint — her first and most instinctive form of expression, which she has never abandoned.
In 2024, she held her first solo exhibition on the Arcachon Bay, the birthplace of her creative renewal. Her 2025 summer show at the ICICLE Cultural Space in Shanghai marks a return to the Asian continent — a place deeply rooted in her heart.
